The Star Racing cams, perhaps unknown to most in Italy, are having some success overseas and are now starting to have admirers in our Italian colony as well.

One of the reasons for their success is due to the fact that they give back, at least in part, a nice “potato potato” sound to the Milwaukee Eight engines falsely accused of being engines for Japanese scooters.

Judging by the video the sound is rather evocative, but the cams are also performing?

In our DynoJet Tuning Center we did the tuning of a 2019 Softail Fat Bob 114″ equipped with Star Racing 30/30, a Screamin’ Eagle air filter and a TBR 2 into 1 exhaust.

Although they are not the easiest cams to set up, the results in terms of power, torque and driveability are excellent: 115hp and 124 ft-lbs measured at the rear wheel in 5th gear.
